Holding a character card and answering the questions is personally confronting for many young people, and by forcing young people to assume these positions you are normalising these situations.
You would also be stereotyping various cultural and traditional values. The assumption is that Muslim, Christian, Indian, Aboriginal community values are restrictive and counter-cultural.
A biased activity since 4 out of the 31 character cards describe young people who abstain or postpone first sex. Thirteen out of the 31 cards refer to young people who are same -sex attracted, bisexual or transgender- almost half the cards.
